 (2) Why is this two syllabled mantra so potent? Because it represents the perfect merger of Siva and Narayana. How so?
The syllable raa was picked from the great eight syllabled Narayana mantra, Om Na mo Naa raa ya naa ya and the syllable ma was picked from the great five syllabled Siva mantra, Na ma si vaa ya. Thus Rama mantra combines the power of the Namasivaya mantra and the Om Namo Narayanaya maha mantra. Thus the Rama mantra represents the perfect merger of Siva and Narayana. Ganesh devotees should recite the Vinayaka kavacham hymn and beseech Lord Ganesh to protect them. They should recite it a minimum of 3 times a day, but Siddhas suggest 12, 21, 30, 51, 108, 1008 and 10008 or more times a day for ardent devotees.

Astrological aspect of Saraswati puja :


Lal kitab associates Rahu with Saraswati. It is quite logical, since Rahu is the planet which causes delusion and 'Mati Bhram'. it confuses the person and does not let him take the right decisons. It overpowers the intelect and takes the person on the wrong path of drinking, smoking, drugs, eating non-veg and extra-marital sex. Also it is the karka of gambling and politics. Therefore to reduce the malefic affect of Rahu dasha , one should worship Saraswati. Moreover, the tithi(date) "Panchami' is associated with the serpenets and rahu planet. So worshiping Saraswati on Basant panchami will help to reduce Rahu effects.
